Just so everyone remembers, this is the order of our presentation:
1. Emelie - introduction, high concept of the game, storyline
2. Chris - technical info, our design choice (2d/3d)
3. Cicci - characters
4. Tessa - our game map, locations, environments, photos
5. Eva - game rules, tokens/objects, mini-games
6. Emme - summary, game goal, basically everything that hasn't already been said
Things we need to think about:
Semiotics - what is represented through images and text in our game
Time - how time is shown in the game, how the player perceives change
Agency - how/when the player feels empowered, when he can make changes and choices
Character Set - the most important point of interaction between the player and the game is our characters, they are the guidelines of play
Critical vocabulary - key terms from books we have read that we can refer to. We need to work on this as we still don't have any key terms
Important question: How do you make learning fun?
Ideas: Make it personal. Create engaging storylines, characters, items, involve the player into the world.
Keywords/adjectives for our game: dramatic, challenging, playful, educational
Others: adventurous, mystical, romantic, humorous
Thought this might be helpful! See you guys tomorrow!
